Barbara Webster has been a creating jewellery for over 10 years following a background in textile design, ceramics and sculpture. Although she now lives in Lancashire, Barbara was born in Altrincham and brought up in Knutsford where she first went to school moving on later to the grammar school in Wilmslow and she retains close family ties to the county.
Barbara is an innovative jeweller working mainly with sterling silver and occasionally in 18ct gold. Her pieces are frequently etched and oxidized to introduce texture to her work and she particularly enjoys creating figurative pieces with tiny details in gold. Her scenes of both city and countryside are reinterpreted with a contemporary edge.
Barbara has exhibited with the GNCCF for the last three and her work can be found at several galleries including the Royal Exchange Gallery in Manchester, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Platform Gallery in Clitheroe. She also exhibits with galleries in London and Somerset.
Barbara welcomes working to commission to provide something special and unique.
